ইসরোকে উৎসর্গ করা হল মুম্বইয়ের ‘চাঁদ’!

মুম্বইয়ে ওরলিতে রয়েছে নেহরু প্ল্যানেটোরিয়াম। সেখানে দিয়ে যাওয়ার সময়ই চমকে যাচ্ছেন পথচারীরা। সবার চোখ পড়ছে প্ল্যানেটোরিয়ামের ছাদে থাকা ‘চাঁদ’-এর উপর। এটাই নাকি মুম্বইয়ের চাঁদ! কিন্তু চাঁদ কী মুম্বইয়ের একার?

মহাকাশ গবেষণায় উল্লেখযোগ্য সাফল্য ধরা দিচ্ছে ভারতীয় মহাকাশ গবেষণা সংস্থা ইসরোর ঝুলিতে। ল্যান্ডার বিক্রম চাঁদের মাটিতে আছড়ে পড়লেও ইসরোর চন্দ্রযান মিশন প্রশংসিত হয়েছে বিশ্বের বিজ্ঞানী মহলে। সেই মিশনের জন্য ইসরোকে শুভেচ্ছা জানাতেই তৈরি করা হয়েছে এই ‘চাঁদ’। তবে এই চাঁদ পৃথিবীর উপগ্রহ নয়। প্ল্যানেটোরিয়ামের মাথায় তৈরি করা ‌গম্বুজ, যা দেখতে অবিকল চাঁদের মতো।

এই গম্বুজ এমন ভাবে রঙ করা হয়েছে যা দেখতে পুরো চাঁদের মতো লাগছে। এই গম্বুজের ব্যাস ২৫.৬ মিটার। এই গম্বুজ তৈরির নক্সা করেছেন বিখ্যাত শিল্পী গুল মহম্মদ বুখারি। এই কাজে তাঁকে সাহায্য করেছেন কাদারি আলামিয়া ও মুনির আব্দুল রসুল বুখারি।

সবথেকে খুশির খবর মুম্বইয়ের এই ‘চাঁদ’ দেখতে গাঁটের কড়ি খরচা করতে হবে না সাধারণ মানুষকে। প্রত্যেকদিন সকাল ১১টা থেকে রাত সাড়ে ৯টা অবধি বিনা পয়সায় এটি দেখতে পারবেন দর্শকরা।
