রোজ ৫০টি রাস্তার কুকুরকে খাওয়াচ্ছেন হবু পশুচিকিৎসক

করোনার জেরে গোটা দেশে লকডাউন চলছে। এই অবস্থায় মানুষ যেমন সমস্যায় পড়েছেন তেমন খেতে পাচ্ছে না রাস্তার কুকুররাও। অনেকেই আবেদন করছেন, সম্ভব হলে রাস্তার এই কুকুরদের খেতে দিন। যেমন আবেদন করলেন দিল্লির এই পশুপ্রেমী যুবতী। শুধু আবেদন করাও নয়, তিনি নিজে রোজ ৫০টি কুকুরকে খাওয়াচ্ছেন বলে জানিয়েছেন। ছবিও পোস্ট করেছেন তাঁর ইনস্টাগ্রাম হ্যান্ডলে।

বিভা তোমর, পশুচিকিৎসার তৃতীয় বর্ষের ছাত্রী। সম্প্রতি তিনি ইনস্টাগ্রামে বেশ কয়েকটি পোস্ট করেছেন। সেখানে দেখা যাচ্ছে, মুখোশ পরে রাস্তার কুকুরদের মাঝে, তাদের খাওয়াচ্ছেন। একাধিক পাত্রে করে খাবার রেখেছেন রাস্তায়, আর বেশ রয়েকটি কুকুর জড়ো হয়েছে সেখানে খাবার খেতে।

আবার এক ছবিতে দেখা যাচ্ছে একটি কুকুরে গলায় প্লাকার্ড ঝোলানো, তাতে লেখা, “আমরা করোনাভাইরাস ছড়াই না।” অর্থাৎ কুকুরদের মাধ্যমে করোনাভাইরাস সংক্রমিত হয় না বলে বার্তা দিতে চেয়েছেন বিভা।

২৪ মার্চের একটি পোস্টে বিভা লিখেছেন, ওই দিন তিনি ৫০টি কুকুরকে খাইয়েছেন। এর পর থেকে প্রতিদিন অন্তত ৫০টি কুকুরকে খাওয়াবেন। সঙ্গে আবেদন করেছেন, এই সময় এদের সত্যিই সাহায্যের প্রয়োজন। তাই রোজ অন্তত একটি কুকুরকে খেতে দিন। যদি ওদের কাছে যেতে না চান তাহলে বাইরে খাবার রেখে দিন, ওরা এসে খেয়ে যাবে।

THEY NEED YOUR HELP❤🐶🐱 Please leave food and water for the stray animals around you. Due to the lockdown many strays are not able to eat even a single meal throughout the day. There are so many pets who have been abandoned during this time. They're unable to understand what's happening and are helpless and stressed😔💔 There are some ways to help the animals around you💕 ➡️ Feed the strays around you! ( They do not spread corona virus) ➡️ If you're scared to go near them , please keep food , even the leftovers, outside your house. ( A hungry stray could come later and eat the food you've kept. Also, keep the food at a particular time) ➡️ Keep a bowl of water for them. ( It has started to get a bit hot outside and you can save them from getting dehydrated and sick) Don't forget to keep water for the birds too! ➡️ If you spot any dog/cat, which you think has been abandoned, inform about them immediately to any animal welfare ngo or shelter. Post pictures. You can also try to bring them to your home till further help. (Posting and informing can help them get adopted) ➡️ You can always adopt or foster a furry friend. ➡️ You can donate food to local feeders or to any shelter near you. . .
